KISS
Directed by Rutger Rosenborg, Assisted by Daniel Schraer
Rehearses Tuesdays from 5:15-8:15pm
First Rehearsal: Feb 16th
Everybody loves a bunch of Kiss songs, even if you didn't realize it. These guys wrote some of the most fun guitar-rock anthems of the 70s like "Detroit Rock City", "Strutter", and "I Wanna Rock n Roll All Night". The San Diego school has done this show twice and it's seriously one of the most fun shows we've ever done. Oh yeah, and everyone wears the facepaint!
HISTORY OF PUNK
Directed by Tyler Ward, Assisted by Korey Horn
Rehearses Saturdays from 11am-2pm
First Rehearsal: Feb 20th
This is one of the most influential movements that rock 'n' roll has ever experienced. This show will include the bands who influenced the punk scene (Stooges, Velvet Underground), then the first punk bands (Ramones, Dead Boys), the UK scene (The Clash, Sex Pistols), and the early indie/hardcore movement (Black Flag, Dead Kennedys).
MOTOWN
Directed by Araby Harrison, Assisted by Tyler Ward
Rehearses Saturdays from 2-5pm
First Rehearsal: Feb 20th
Alright, we know it's impossible to pick a favorite show of all time, but Motown is definitely in the top 3. The huge number of classic songs that this record label put out in such a short time is staggering. We could do a Motown show every season with a totally different setlist and we'd never get tired of it. This show also includes some of the greatest vocal performances and bass lines ever recorded.
