1969 REVISITED
Directed by Adam West, Assisted by Drew Pelisek
Rehearses: Saturdays from 2pm-5pm
First Rehearsal: Saturday, February 9th
2019 means we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of, arguably, the most important year in Rock N Roll history! This show will feature some of the greatest records of all time, all released in 1969. We’re talking The Beatles (Abbey Road), The Stones (Let It Bleed), Zeppelin (1 & 2!), The Who (Tommy), Neil Young, CCR, King Crimson, Bob Dylan, Captain Beefheart, Sly & The Family Stone, Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Chicago, Santana, Johnny Cash, Zappa, The Stooges, The MC5 and a million more! We could do this show every season this year and not run out of incredible songs.
RADIOHEAD
Directed by Araby Harrison, Assisted by Adam Barker
Rehearses: Saturdays from 11am-2pm
First Rehearsal: Saturday, February 9th
Radiohead is truly one of the most surprising, genre bending, and fascinating bands of all time. You all know a couple of their hits, but that is just the beginning. This show will feature beautiful melodies, strange guitar parts, bizarre synthesizer sounds, odd drum beats, and some of the greatest singing of the last 20 years. If you’ve been here for a few seasons, this one is probably for you! This is art rock done right.
EPIC ALBUM: BLACK SABBATH “MASTER OF REALITY” Plus other Sabbath favorites!
Directed by Drew Pelisek
Rehearses: Tuesdays from 6-8pm
First Rehearsal: Tuesday, February 5th
Sabbath ventured into new territory with this record, detuning their guitars to turn in the heaviest album ever heard. In the history of metal, this is ESSENTIAL, but the melodies are catchy enough for every classic rock fan. This one is an eternal classic that changed the rock world forever. Enough said!
SONGWRITING/RECORDING
Directed by Tyler Ward, Assisted by Casey Trask
Rehearses: Thursdays from 5:15pm-8:15pm
First Rehearsal: Thursday, February 7th
2nd annual! Students spend their rehearsals writing, arranging and practicing original songs. At the end, they'll go to a studio and make a record! This is primarily for students who have been at the school for a while and are pretty far along on their instruments. This group will have a smaller cap (around 10-15) and members need approval from their teacher and music director to join. The registration fee will be higher because of the added costs of studio rental.
